The gallery location of every art work is indicated on each item's own description page and will state either CP-Yaletown or CP-Gastown.
Coastal Peoples is not a purely web-based company as we have two prime downtown gallery locations. We do our best to update our web gallery as soon as a piece is sold, but cannot guarantee a piece is available until we have confirmed your order.
How to pay
Major credit cards are accepted (VISA, Mastercard and AMEX) and we accept debit cards in person at the gallery. If you live outside of Canada, your credit card will be billed in your local currency using an exchange rate at your card company's discretion.
For online purchasesthough our web site, please note that we accept only VISA or Mastercard at this time, and AMEX is accepted via telephone, email or in person.
We also accept payment via wire transfer and by personal or certified cheque. If you wish to pay using these methods, let us know when you confirm your purchase and we will provide you with the applicable details.
The gallery ships worldwide and is pleased to provide shipping quotes on any items upon request, and can recommend the best method of professional packaging and delivery.
All art works are handcrafted and of a very high standard. They are in pristine condition. Our collection is chosen with great deliberation and we endeavour to provide a selection that is diverse and authentic.
Each artwork is accompanied by: • a biography of the artist • a write-up of the crest figure(s) • written story on specific pieces (when available) • details about the authentic nature or style of First Nations and/or Inuit art • upon special request, a Certificate of Authenticity and/or Appraisal, with details of the piece and guaranteeing it to be a genuine work of contemporary First Nations art can be provided
Coastal Peoples has taken great care to present works of art online as close to the actual piece as possible although photography rarely does justice to the pieces, so please anticipate a better than digital experience when it arrives at your home.
All prices are shown in Canadian dollars and do not include local taxes. Taxes are exempt when shipping outside of Canada. For details on taxes across Canada when shipping, please contact us.
No obligation inquiries & advice
We welcome any inquiries on First Nations and/or Inuit art and culture - our mandate is to give you the best experience possible through the sharing of our knowledge and expertise.
Returns or Exchanges
If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase and, provided it is in its original condition, you are welcome to return it within 7 days of purchase/delivery for an exchange or gallery credit (no expiry date). We are unable to refund delivery/transport costs or any other shipping costs incurred.
